$150,000 stolen sporting goods seized Suspect is a 39-year-man from Coldwater



COLDWATER, Mich. (WOOD) - Michigan State Police has seized $150,000 worth of stolen sporting goodsequipment. 


State police received information about the cache while investigating a larceny by false pretense case.   


The suspect, a 39-year-man from Coldwater, has been the target of the investigation in which items have been ordered from sporting good suppliers with the intent of never paying for them, according to a news release. 


The suspect had previously been investigated and charged in a case related to this same activity, police said. 


State police continue to locate the retailers to return the stolen property. Several of the retailers are located out of the state and possibly in Canada.

  • 5 Kiwi brand kayaks
  • 3 Family Tradition brand tree stands
  • 3 Contour brand paddle boats
  • 30 Bulldog brand archery targets
  • 18 Hurricane brand archery targets
  • Assorted hunting decoys
  • 6 3D archery deer targets
  • 10 archery target systems
  • 12 various crossbows
  • 16 various compound bows
  • 107 ice fishing rods
  • 73 various fishing rods
  • 1 Bow tuner
  • 10 Lake weed rakes
  • 21 boxes of wheel bearings
  • 7 cases of assorted fishing lures
